Badger Queens
The 2022 Badger Queens Tournament was held in Wausau at Dale's Weston Lanes on Sunday May 1, 2022. Qualifying started at 9:00 AM and Queen Lauren Sammel was crowned at 4:00 PM. We started with 84 ladies and 6 games of qualifying. We then cut the field to the top 21 scores (+84) and bowled another 3 games. After those 9 games we cut to the top 5 for a step ladder final. It took +207 to make the finals. When the dust settled we had a new Queen. Lauren took home the top prize of $1200.00, the coveted tiara and first place trophy. She will also receive an entry into the 2023 USBC Queens Tournament and a free entry into the 2023 Badger Queens Tournament.

Queen Lauren Sammel with Wisconsin State USBC President Doug Sleaford and director Pam Hornung. Lauren bowls in the madison area at Bowl-A-Vard and at Dream Lanes and had an average of 214 from last season. Originally from New York, she has been in the Madison area for 20 years.
